Go to Flickr and look up the groups "bookshelf project" (see what people have on their bookshelves) or "library display" (see how other libraries use displays in their libraries).

Add your name to the list of attendees on the HRLC Tech Comm Open House wiki (which you are viewing right now!)
Visit www.libsuccess.org, which is the "library best practices" wiki, and visit one of the sections that interests you. There are tips on how to do reader's advisory better, how to market your library better, how to use technology in your library, and much more.
WIRELESS
See if your library is listed on the HRLC Wireless Technology Members page (http://www.hrlc.org/technology/wireless_access.htm ). If it isn't listed but you do have wireless, contact Joanne Roukens or Karen Boyer via email (their emails are listed at the bottom of the HRLC Wireless Technology Members page) and ask them to add your library.
